An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Finance Business Partner, with a passion for providing excellence in financial services, to join one of South Australia's most progressive regional councils in a role that will contribute to the financial sustainability and prosperity of the Alexandrina region.

About Us

Alexandrina Council is a thriving community of nearly 27,000 residents covering an area of 1,800 square kilometres on the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula south of Adelaide. The area is supported by diverse industries including tourism, viticulture, general farming and dairying, fruit production, manufacturing, engineering and boat building. It is close enough to Adelaide to make it an easily accessible and desirable holiday and tourist destination. Council boasts rural, river and coastal vistas.

About the role

Alexandrina Council places a high priority on delivering programs and services that meet the needs and aspirations of our community. We are looking for someone who shares this ethos. Reporting to the Manager Finance Services, you will apply your commercial acumen, analytical ability and well-developed people skills to communicate council objectives in an audience-appropriate way.

This role is key to understanding, interpreting and anticipating the needs of both operations and management to ensure business delivery. A well-developed sense of ethics and the ability to apply these principles in business decision making is required to support the Council's priorities.

About You

We seek a person with a proven record in the delivery of financial accounting services in a fast paced environment. Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications and be able to demonstrate a track record of participating in projects and functions that support legislative compliance and utilise your skills and experience to value add to the capacity for Council to deliver the objectives of the Community Strategic Plan. To be successful in this role you will have outstanding communications skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as a positive team member with a strong desire for career progression and development opportunities.
