Projects Officer

  • Permanent, full-time role, based at the Goolwa Central Office
  • Oversee major and minor projects within our Environmental Division
  • Great salary + 10% superannuation
  • Level 6 ($89,235 to $94,856)

Alexandrina Council currently has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Project Officer to be a part of our Environmental Division and make things happen for our beautiful region.

Are you up for the challenge?

Drawing upon your years of project management experience, you will oversee and manage various key projects including recreation, open space and buildings. A key component of your role will be to prepare contract documentation and manage the tender process for projects and procurement, as well as provide a technical resource and assistance to other areas of Council's operations.

Do you have what it takes?

It goes without saying that you will have in-depth knowledge of and experience in project management (ideally, 5+years), as well as contract management processes and principles, but you will also need knowledge of conservation and environmental practices and an awareness of the social, environmental and economic impacts of Council decisions and actions.

Essentials and desirables:

  • Project Management and or related qualifications (essential)
  • Driver's license (essential)
  • Construction Industry White Card (desirable)
  • Workzone Traffic Management Competency (desirable)
